The kitchen is typical of an old farmhouse. A very warm and social area, the solid teak table (fashioned from a decommisioned Burmese bridge!) is the hub of the room. The aga maintains a cosy temperature and there is also a large fridge should party ‘goodies’ need to kept chilled. The ‘Sunshine’ notice over the south window once used to label Charlotte’s Dad’s favourite combine harvester!

NB: Should any guests feel the urge to entaintain with live music, a perfectly usable guitar hangs from the wall too – enjoy!

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is the largest of the bedrooms as the name suggests. Featuring a fireplace, a 4 poster bed, a chaise-longue, plenty of cupboard space, and a terrific view over the gardens. The grandest of the bedrooms.

Pembrokeshire Room

The Pembrokeshire Room is so named with regards to the origin of the splendid mahogany four-poster bed, which was crafted in west Wales. The eastern wing of the farmhouse is naturally segregated from the oldest part of the building by a secure door and has a private bathroom and separate lavatory. The wing is well suited for a young family.

King Charles Room

The King Charles room at the west of the house is steeped in history. The incredible fireplace dominates the room and the ancient carvings betray King Charles I’s residence here in during the troubled times of the English civil war. A room fit for a king!

Cheese Store Studio Apartment

The Cheese Store apartment is situated across the courtyard and offers the privacy and seclusion of a studio flat whereby guests have a key to come and go as they please. With a private bathroom and shower plus internet connection, TV and a wonderful sleigh bed, the room is ideal for families and couples alike. Indeed, the appartment has occasionally been the bridal suite for couples on their wedding night.

This light and homely room has access out to the garden and a connecting door to the dining room. As well as the comfortable furniture expected from the main reception room, the living room hosts an extra large monitor screen and the karaoke console.
